		<description>Danna, I am a huge fan of the public libraries and have used them quite a bit over the years. However, there is certainly a preference to owning a book as opposed to borrowing one and compelling reasons include; you know where it&#8217;s been, you can read it anytime, you can take your time reading it, your bookshelf looks cool and you look intelligent. Another reason that came to mind a few years ago is that you support the publishing industry. I was once in a book store when a well heeled couple was looking at a book. The wife said, &#8220;I&#8217;ll just get this from the library. &#8220; The husband replied, &#8220;No. If people like you&#160;don&#8217;t buy books then books will stop being written.&#8221; An interesting comment and I am biased.
