A Small Change to the Cozy Mystery Site – Free Kindle Mystery Books & Cheap Kindle Mystery Books – Nov. 14, 2012

Rather than post the list here, in the future, I’m going to try to post a brief entry about the Kindle Freebies and Cheapies in the blog section of the Cozy Mystery site, with a link to the newest page on the main site. They will simply be short entries to make those of you who want to see them aware of them, that way those of you who don’t want to look at them don’t need to sift through entire entries.

Here is the latest entry:

Free Kindle Mystery Books & Cheap Kindle Mystery Books – Nov. 14, 2012

This particular list is very long, thanks to BB! She sent me a spread sheet with a whole lot of Freebies and Cheapies.

Thank you so much, BB!

    You’re welcome.

Today’s Kindle Daily Deal (November 15, 2012) is Deborah Crombie’s “No Mark Upon Her (Duncan Kincaid / Gemma James)” for $1.99. These are for one day only so it will probably go back to regular price tomorrow.

Thank you! We don’t have either a kindle or nook, ourselves. But I sent your past list, to a friend and she was thrilled.

But this is a lovely thing to do, for those who do.

    Again thank you.

BB, Hazel Holt is one of my favorite authors. I am now the owner of My Dear Charlotte – an free, no less! Thanks!

  3. BB says

“House of Blues (Skip Langdon #5) (Skip Langdon Mystery)” by Julie Smith is FREE right now, too.

Sorry, I’m making so many posts! Since I don’t have editing ability to add, I’m just creating new ones as I find more deals.

BB, I certainly appreciate all of these comments. There really is nothing like free Kindles mystery books.

Danna, I don’t have a Kindle yet but I still enjoy reading your lists. It is nice knowing what all is available on this product for when I do get my own.

Me too Danna!! I know I “sent” him a letter!!
Sorry I am so gabby today. I normally keep my 2 great grandchildren 4 days a week. But since their older teenage sister is off on her college break, she is taking care of the kids. I miss these kids very much this morning. I won’t have them until after New Year’s when college opens up again. So I am just trying to fill in the gap this morning and your wonderful blog is my gap filler upper!!

  5. BB says

“Holidays Can Be Murder: A Charlie Parker Christmas Mystery (The Charlie Parker Mystery Series)” by Connie Shelton has been reduced to $2.99. It is a novella of approximately 80 pp.

  6. BB says

I think this is a regular price.

“Rally ‘Round the Corpse (An Abel Adventures Mystery)” by Hy Conrad is $2.99. 349 pp.

According to a blurb, Mr. Conrad was a writer on “Monk” and has authored many short stories. Abel Adventures Mysteries is his first series.

  7. BB says

“The Anteater of Death: A Gunn Zoo Mystery (Gunn Zoo Series)” by Betty Webb is currently 99¢. There’s more than one Kindle copy and the one that is discounted is ASIN B003V8BSHC.

There are actually three Kindle copies: this one has 270 pp, another has one additional page, and the third has fewer. The other two copies are $7.69. Strange.

    • BB says

Just found out that this is another case of additional Kindle copies out there at a higher price. The ASIN of the free book is B003VS0ES6.

Good. Pretty neat how it worked out with Ksenija’s question. :-)

And, here’s another question for you, Danna. Have the boxes for “Notify me of follow-up comments by email.” and “Notify me of new posts by email.” always been below the Submit button? If so, I never noticed them before today, but I’m so glad they are there because since starting to post here I’ve wanted a way to make sure I see all new posts, especially any replies to mine. Matter of fact, I’d been meaning to request you ask your techie hubby if the RSS feed was the answer since I’ve never used that before.

        • Danna - cozy mystery list says

BB, yes, those are new. I’m not sure if they work, though. My husband said they were upgrade plug-ins.

          • BB says

Well, in a way it works too good. I’m getting an e-mail for each reply. I can’t figure out how to change delivery to daily or maybe we don’t have that option? What I would like, if possible, is to receive a daily log of all new comments on all posts.

    Currently FREE:
    * Maids of Misfortune: A Victorian San Francisco Mystery by M. Louisa Locke

    * Dandy Detects: A Victorian San Francisco Story (short story) by M. Louisa Locke

  9. BB says

The Cater Street Hangman (Charlotte and Thomas Pitt) by
    Anne Perry is currently $3.00.

It’s the first in the Charlotte and Thomas Pitt series.

    • Danna - cozy mystery list says

Thanks, BB, for bringing this to my attention. Actually, the first ten books in Anne Perry’s Thomas & Charlotte Pitt Mystery Series are on sale.

I know I have said this before, but I love it when the publishers take the price down on the beginning books in a series. If I’m on the fence about an author, I prefer the first books to go on sale. Of course, on the other hand, if I’m all caught up with a favorite author, I prefer their current books go on sale. I guess what I’m saying is that I would like all of the Kindle books to go on sale!

  10. BB says

“Shimura Trouble (Rei Shimura )” by Sujata Massey is currently reduced from $4.99 to $2.99.

Ms. Massey states on her website that she is writing another Rei Shimura novel after a long interim.

  11. BB says

Danna has P.G. Wodehouse as a favorite, even if not a cozy mystery, so I’m mentioning this one in particular. “The Jeeves Collection” is FREE today. This is one of the classic freebies being offered by “Acheron Press.” Go to Amazon and search for them. You can sort by price low to high. Some other authors I saw were Charles Dickens, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and Edgar Allan Poe. Not sure if this is a one-day deal or not.
