The 2009 Agatha Awards were given out at this year's Malice Domestic convention which took place in the Washington, D.C. area over April 29, 30, and May 1. Remember that although the awards were given in 2010, they are for the preceeding year's books…

This will be quick. I just posted all of the 2009 Agatha Award Nominees. (I guess I won't be getting the early-bird worm!)
CONGRATULATIONS to ALL of the nominees!!!
I think that if you take a look at the lists, you will recognize quite a few of "our" authors, and look forward to reading the new ones. Remember that the Agatha Awards are probably the most "Cozy" of all of the mystery book awards… No gratuitious violence, no "gross-out" goriness, and no explicit "adult situations"… so to speak.

Congratulations to the Finalists for the 2009 Nero Wolfe Awards. The (yearly) Black Orchid Banquet will be taking place in early December, so we will have to wait until then to find out which of the three finalists is chosen as the Winner… Let's face it, though, all three of them are winners for being finalists!

Sorry about posting this so "after the fact"… I kept thinking that I wanted to post the 2009 Anthony Award nominees and winners, who were announced at Bouchercon 2009 last month. Another case of better late than never…
