Whatever happened to customer service?!? Is there anyone out there who remembers the time when you could actually "order" something from a department or grocery store? I do!

Let me preface this entry by saying that I have lived in several states, and countries. My father was a career Air Force man, so we moved a lot. I was born in Florida, although I spent the first year and a half of my life in Cuba. I have also lived in Chile, Spain, and Panama. The states I have lived in are various… Virginia, Maryland, Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Florida, Connecticut, and for the last 17 years, Texas.

Every so often, I go through all of my "private lists" of authors with their chronological lists of cozy mystery books, and try to make sense of the notes that I have added to the list. (The date of my last update was about two years ago.)

Knowing the Culprit Without Clues… Does This Bother You?

Yesterday, in a conversation I had with my daughter, I described a "problem" I just had with the mystery book I finished very recently. While I really appreciate the author's writing style, my "complaint" is that since I LOVE cozy mysteries, I put a lot of weight on the "mystery" part of the book. I have only read two of this author's mysteries. I don't know if the third will prove to be different, but in the first two books of her series, I knew exactly who the culprits were as soon as I was "introduced" to the characters.

Sprite (our 15 year old puppy) has quite a regimen in the morning… or should I say "I" have that regimen?!? She keeps me on my toes… everything has to be punctual, and everything in the correct order. (She didn't used to be like this!)

Mystery Book Series I Would Dearly Love to Catch Up With…

Do you have any favorite authors you aren't caught up with? I DO!!! (Notice that I use the word "favorite" to describe the authors. I am finding that as I get older, I simply will not spend time reading a mystery book that I don't thoroughly enjoy. Thus the word "favorite!")

I received an e-card from a friend a few years ago, and I have loved this site ever since. The artist's name is Jacquie Lawson, and her work is absolutely fantastic. You can go to her site and preview the cards before you send them. Make sure that you have the sound turned up on your computer. She also provides music for the cards.
