I know that I have been remiss in writing an entry… I usually don't take this long a break from writing, but I have been trying to get some things accomplished before my daughter comes home for her Thanksgiving break. She'll be home for only two full days, and then will be going back to Cambridge for the remainder of the semester. I have a lot to get done before she arrives.

Updating Alphabetical Pages of Mystery Book Authors on the Site…

I was just browsing through a few of the alphabetical pages on the Cozy Mystery site, and was somewhat surprised at what I found. A few years ago, when I started the site, I (apparently!) didn't add any information for some (as in "quite a few") of the authors.

I love the ease of cell phones! Let me state that before I continue with this rant… I love having almost an unlimited amount of long-distance time. I love having access to all sorts of places when I am at all sorts of places.

Only One More Cambridge/Boston Trip Entry…

One of the things I like about living in a "young" city like San Antonio is that the streets are planned on a grid. Boston streets are not! One of our tour guides said that the reason for this is that they just paved over cattle trails and foot paths from years ago. If it was good enough for the cows, then by golly, it was good enough for cars!

The Good Wife… One of My (New) Favorite Shows

I just watched a new show that I am following: The Good Wife. >>> Love it!

As if The Good Wife's regular cast isn't (to use the word from the title) "Good" enough!!! They brought in one of my very favorite actresses this past week: Martha Plimpton. I have always thought that she would have been the absolutely best actress to portray Stephanie Plum, the main sleuthing character of the wildly successful Janet Evanovich mystery book series.

Halloween in Salem…

One of the day tours my daughter and I took was to Salem. On our way to Salem (from Boston) we went through Revere – the setting for Camille Minichino's Periodic Table mystery book series. (As some of you know, Minichino is one of my favorite Cozy Mystery book authors…)

I'm Back from Cambridge…

I'm home! And I feel smarter now than I did before my trip! As I've mentioned before – my daughter moved to Cambridge to pursue her law degree.

I had a great time visiting a lot of really neat places. It really would be terrific to live on the east coast and have access to all sorts of historical places! We took a trolley tour and saw the highlights of Boston, and on our harbour tour we saw the USS Constitution. The trip to Salem was a real treat, as was our trip to Lexington and Concord. We saw such beautiful scenery AND after so many years of San Antonio's lack-luster falls, the autumnal changing of colors was truly phenomenal.

Salem Witch Trials, Cambridge, and Boston…

I am currently on my first trip "out East" to visit my daughter at her new college. My husband went with her at the beginning of the year in order to help her get settled, and I decided to wait and let them do "all of the work" so that I could fly in and enjoy her first few days off from school. (She gets two days off for the Columbus Day holiday.)
