Holiday Mystery Books…

February 23, 2010

I just updated my holiday mystery book lists, and wonder if I have left any obvious books off of the lists. (I was actually quite surprised by how many books I didn't have listed!)

I recently finished a really good Christmas theme mystery book… An English Murder. It was such a treat to read this book, and it certainly made me a Cyril Hare fan!

Laura just posted a comment (Thank you, Laura!) for my last entry that reminds me a lot of what I am doing:

I just finished my most recent Halloween mystery book by a rather new author (to me, that is!) >>> I read Death of a Trickster and must say that it is definitely a Halloween Cozy… small New England town, amateur sleuth, everybody-knows-everybody feeling, eccentric personalities with hidden personal secrets, and to top it off, the most wonderful feeling of autumn/fall that you could possibly find in a book… I felt like autumn was actually one of the characters during the first half (or so) of the book…

Aleta just sent me five additions for our Christmas reading pleasure. Thank you so much for sending these, Aleta. I try to stay on top of the holiday releases, but (obviously!) I'm not too good about it. I love getting additions to these holiday lists (actually any of the authors' lists, also!) from readers… It makes keeping the site up to date so much easier and faster!

I love BBC mysteries and I am trying to find shows with a Christmas Theme. I already watched Hercule Poirot's Christmas and loved it. I am looking for more, any BBC mystery with a Christmas theme would be welcome this season. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you Walter
