If you have yet to see any of Sir David Attenborough's nature collections, then you have missed some of the rarest glimpses into our world's environments. There is a very obvious reason that this Natural Sciences academic from Cambridge is world-renowned: He is one of the world's foremost experts in his field.

I just watched a new show called "Castle" and enjoyed it so much that I took a look at my Replay machine to see if they will be re-airing the pilot. The good news is that they are, on Saturday at 9:00 PM (our local Texas time). So if you are at all interested, you can check it out!

The Inspector Morse (British) mystery series is based on Colin Dexter's wonderful series of books. My husband and I are both fans of Dexter's novels and the television shows. I believe I read some place that when Colin Dexter was approached to make his mystery novels into a television series, he chose John Thaw to portray the very cerebral, very cultured, Oxford-educated Inspector Morse. What perfect casting! Kevin Whately is also perfectly cast as Morse's Sergeant Lewis.
All of you Hercule Poirot (Agatha Christie's Belgian private detective) fans are more than likely already aware of David Suchet's wonderful portrayal of the rather prim, always correct detective. For those of you very few people who have not yet experienced any of the Agatha Christie's Poirot delightful shows, you will be glad to know that you have many hours of entertainment to look forward to.

OK, OK… I know that this is the Cozy Mystery Site… BUT>>> I just have to share one of my favorite Hollywood Star's Movies with all of you: Judy Holliday!
I am writing this entry to let people know about Judy Holliday's movies. I started introducing Holliday's movies to my husband about a year ago, not sure if he would like them. They herald back to a simpler time… A time when close-ups of two lovers kissing didn't involve camera"men" looking for the angle that showed the most open-mouthed gymnastics. A time when a man and a woman were called "a boy and girl" and "first base" involved holding hands, "second base" involved the "boy" yawning in his theater seat so that his arm could go around the "girl's" shoulder. (It turned out that my husband liked Holliday's movies so much, that I then introduced my daughter to them! She also likes them a lot.)
This is another review of what I consider a truly delightful show that doesn't happen to be a mystery. (Of course, it's a mystery to me that it was cancelled after only one season… although I have a feeling that when a network decides to air the shows of a new series out of sequence, that can't help establish the show…)
