I’m impressed that you manage to keep up with all the releases. There just isn’t enough time to read all those lovely books – maybe I should start looking into audio books!
I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful.

Ann, sometimes all of the pseudonyms that authors are now using makes it a little tricky. Luckily this time Readingprincess was able to help me out by telling me that Wendy Lyn Watson is now writing as Annie Knox. (I won’t get started again on pseudonyms!)

  2. Sheila says

What a way to start 2014. There are a few books to add to my reading list. Thanks for all you hard work with this web site.

  3. Tomi says

Thank you so much for maintaining your website. I’m almost ashamed to admit how much I look forward to the release of this list each month. Don’t know how I missed the new Flavia de Luce. I can depend on you to keep me up-to-date!

    • Danna - cozy mystery list says

Tomi, I’m glad you enjoy the monthly Mystery Book New Releases. I always love it when one of my favorite authors puts out a new mystery.

  4. Readingprincess says

Jan. 6 marks the debut of Annie Knox’s new pet boutique mystery series with Paws for Murder. Annie Knox, aka Wendy Lyn Watson, wrote the mystery a la mode series.

  5. Jerry says

    Happy December

Just finished James patterson’s newest Cross MY Heart. Just as good as all his others. I currently have three spots on my library list . Thank you for the great January releases.

  6. Barbara says

Thanks from me, too for keeping up with this and with the aliases. It makes it much easier to find favorite authors. Altho now I’m reading Agatha Christie so my time will be taken up for the next few months….BK

    • Danna - cozy mystery list says

Barbara, I started listening to my Agatha Christie’s a little while ago, but stopped for a short while. I am trying to make my way through them again. She really was a terrific story-teller!

Love your website. It’s my go to when I need new cozys. Have you ever read any Leighanne Dobbs books? She writes the Lexy Baker Bakery mysteries.

    Danna –

Thanks for including me! I just wanted to say that Pecan Pies and Homicides is not a Christmas-theme book. It actually starts off in January, so it’s a winter themed book, but not Christmas. Just didn’t want to mislead any readers! Cheers!

  9. Ellery Adams says

Just wanted to add my thanks for your hard work and devotion. This is my go to site for all things cozy mystery! Very grateful to you for creating and updating this amazing site. Happy Holidays and a very Cozy 2014 to you!

  10. Shannon N says

I created a spread sheet to keep up with the books coming out, and books I read. Now, I don’t have to do that

I love this site….thank you Danna and everyone for the updates and recommendations. Still plugging away on the Scumble River mysteries by Denise Swenson, but do have many books yet to catch up on. Like going to this site to find new reads/authors, etc.

A previous post mentioned Audio books. I love Sue Grafton’s audio books, as well as Janet Evanovich. The story teller for both books is great. And, if you don’t want to keep them, they can be donated to a library or women’s shelter.

    • Danna - cozy mystery list says

Shannon N, I’m so glad you are enjoying the site.

FYI: Cracker Barrel restaurants carry books on tape that can be checked out.

I can’t believe that I have never read Cleo Coyle. Just read Espresso Shot. Great cozy. Also just fiinished The Single Girl’s Guide To Murder. An older cozy by Joanne Meyer. Highly recommend. Also read Catherine Coulter’s new one The Final Cut. Big book but could not put it down.
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all. Here is to great cozys in 2014

    • Danna - cozy mystery list says

Jerry, as a Cozy Mystery reader, I can’t believe you are just not discovering Cleo Coyle‘s Coffee House Mystery Series! Also, I can’t believe you started with Espresso Shot (book #7). The good news is that you can now go back and read books # 1-6, and follow them with books # 8 – 13! Lots of Cozy reading in store for you.

  12. LM says

Hi I live in Alaska and “discovered” the great series written by Dana Stabenow and her Kate Shugak character. I’m looking for the books she’s written in this series within the past several years. i’m having a difficult time finding her books here in Fairbanks even at our local Barnes and Noble store. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, LM Braman
