Benson and Mapp and Lucia series. Yes, yes yes, he is my favorite author too. I have reread these books countless times with the same pleasure as the first time. They are wonderful. Just want to mention that you might like some of his earlier books specifically, 1. Paying Guests, 2. Mrs. Ames, 3. Secret Lives. They have characters that foreshadow the Lucia and Mapp books, and in fact Miss Legg (Rudolpho da Vinci (not sure of spelling) is in Secret Lives.
