  1. Thanks for telling us about the new Dorothy Cannell novel “Murder at Mullings.” I knew from one of her posts somewhere she had moved and I was beginning to wonder if she was going to write anything else! I’ve loved all her Ellie Haskel adventures and am glad to hear about this new series.

    • Danna - cozy mystery list :

Jackie, it is good news about Dorothy Cannell’s new series.

    • I loved the Ellie Haskel series too so look forward to this new one!

      • Danna - cozy mystery list :

Cathy, I wondered what Dorothy Cannell had been up to, since she hadn’t released an Ellie Haskell since 2009. Good to know she was developing this new series.

  2. I have a new author I want to recommend. Her name is Danielle Stewart. She has a Piper Anderson series. I have read the first two books and loved them. They are Chasing Justice and Cutting Ties. Her 3rd book is on my next read. It’s titled Changing Fate

    • Danna - cozy mystery list :

Dottie, thanks for telling us about Danielle Stewart’s Piper Anderson Mystery Series.

  3. Wow, thanks for the listing! Always love cozy mysteries and love to follow the new books in a series. Thanks!

  4. Readingprincess :

Many thanks for this wonderful update of forthcoming May cozies. I also look forward to A TIGER’S TALE, the second in the Laura Morrigan’s call of the wilde series; DEATH OF A MAD HATTER, the second in the prolific Jenn McKinlay’s hat shop series; MUZZLED, the first entry in Eileen Brady’s new series featuring DVM, Kate Turner; and FLEUR DE LIES, the ninth in Maddy Hunter’s Passport to peril series.

    • Danna - cozy mystery list :

Readingprincess, Laura Morrigan is one of the authors who I have on my “Authors to Post” list. Several people have recommended her mysteries.

  5. Readingprincess :

I adored CLAMMED UP, the first entry in Barbara Ross’ Maine Clambake series; I am looking forward to reading BOILED OVER.

  6. Thanks for the listing,
btw: Kerry Greenwood has a couple series, this one is Phrynne Fisher.

    • Danna - cozy mystery list :

Anne, as many times as I proof-read things before I post them, I proofing my mistakes as if they were correct. Thanks for pointing out that I put down the author’s name instead of the series. I have corrected my mistake.

  7. Murder at Mullings is already out. I just got it from the library.

    • Danna - cozy mystery list :

PlumGaga, thank you for telling us about the release of Murder at Mullings. That’s weird, isn’t it, that it says it’s supposed to be released on May 1, but is already out. Thanks, again, for telling us.

  8. I think that Robert Goldsborough’s work should be listed here; especially his Nero Wolfe novels … or maybe I missed it.

    • Danna - cozy mystery list :

Jim, thank you for mentioning Robert Goldsborough’s Nero Wolfe mysteries. There are a few classic mystery authors whose works is now being written by other authors. I guess I should add them to the original authors’ pages, but I haven’t. So, thanks for the recommendation.

      • Thanks for the reply. There may be some readers that are not familiar with Mr. Goldsgorough’s work and I think that they would really enjoy them. Rex Stout’s daughters did.
