On Feb. 19 I got this comment from Maura:
I have been through all of the Janet Evanovich, Cynthia Riggs, Donald Westlake, Anne George, Dorothy Gilman, Carolyn Hart, Rex Stout, Carl Hiaasan, can anyone recommend more comic mysteries? I love them and devour them!
I have listed a few authors who might be similar to your choice authors. Remember, though, this is not scientific or 100% "accurate." As you can see, I have also drawn several blanks. I hope that readers from the site can come up with some more names for you.
Janet Evanovich:
Anne George:
Dorothy Gilman:
Carolyn Hart:
Rex Stout:

Kinky Friedman writes funny mysteries, although after reading several of them they begin to all sound alike the same jokes over and over. But he is funny. I liked the older ones more than the newer ones.
Hi Mary,
I have a friend who absolutely adores Kinky Friedman's novels. My friend is the reason I added him to the site… I will have to try one of his novels…
I'd suggest Kaye C. Hill — definitely full of humor. Also Julie Hyzy's Washington DC series, (State of the Onion is the first book in the series.)
I also love the Vicky Bliss series written by Elizabeth Peters. They are definitely cozy and comic fun!
Thanks for the suggestions, Maria!
Emily Brightwell's Mrs. Jeffries books are hilarious.
Laura Levine's series is also pretty funny.
