How about Sarah Stewart Taylor? She lives in Vermont but writes about the Boston area.
Hi Marianne,
You are so right! Thanks for the information. I am going to go and add Taylor to the Massachusetts list right now…
What about the series by Wendy Lee featuring Angela Matelli and takes place in Boston and suburbs?
How about Tess Gerritsen? Her novels always take place in MA and ME and sometimes visits to NY but mainly MA.
Thanks, Maria, for telling us about Gerritsen!
Katherine Hall Page and her Faith Fairchild series set in MA and ME
I know, and boy am I glad you caught this! I actually “took Faith” with me when I visited my daughter in Cambridge!
Hi,
I’m looking for series from years back that featured a small town newspaper. They played in a chamber orchestra and she drove a mustard colored Honda civic. One of the books took place in Tanglewood. Any ideas?
Hi Julie,
I think that you are looking for Lucille Kallen. Her series features a (small town) reporter who also plays in a chamber orchestra in Connecticut. Here is a list of her books in her series:
Introducing C.B. Greenfield
The Tanglewood Murder
No Lady in the House
The Piano Bird
A Little Madness
William Tapply wrote about Brady Coyne, a Boston lawyer whose clients involve him in all sorts of interesting situations. Mr. Tapply was a personal friend of Philip Craig, and their respective characters were friends also. Mr. Tapply and Mr. Craig (both now regrettably deceased) co-wrote a couple of books featuring both characters working together. If you like one of these two authors, I’ll bet you like the other as well.
Thanks for telling us about William Tapply, Cynthia.
