I love the last three entries, not yet read the first series listed. I love both coffee and tea, though can only drink tea these days, dislike chemical changes in the bod..dagnabbit….I love learning about both brews, too. And then there are the groovy mysteries to enjoy.

There are themes for a lot of things. If you are a mystery reader (and I am), you are bound to find something you like.

I absolutely enjoy Laura Child’s books! Oolong Dead is a favorite. I am now working on the library’s latest from her, The Teaberry Strangler.

Teresa, isn’t it great when you connect with an author’s personal style? I have several authors who I absolutely cannot wait to read. I hope your library has her latest Tea Shop mystery…

I know, Linda. Some of the descriptions of the food make me crave a Little Debbie cake, which are things I do not bring into the house…

Cleo Coyle was one of the first cozy mystery writers that I began reading and following several years ago. I love her coffee house mysteries, and I have learned quite a lot about the world of coffee from her books. She is one of the authors, along with Maggie Sefton and Joanne Fluke, that have inspired me to try my hand at writing my own Cozy Mystery series.

Thanks for the list; there are a couple mentioned i’ve not seen. How about series that involve the shop owners of knitting, quilting, and such?

I have read many of Susan Wittig Albert’s mysteries…which are wonderful. An herb shop along with a tea shop theme…very good reading. Takes place in the Texas Hill Country.

I adore your site and have found many new series/authors on here. I wanted to share a new author/series that I just discovered on Amazon – and I haven’t seen you list her here. The name is H.Y. Hanna and she writes the Oxford Tearoom mysteries. Very cozy. Set at Oxford University, in England, present time. Sadly no recipes are included but it does make you hungry!

Rhonda, thanks for the suggestion! I’ll take a look at her some time, though the list of authors to add to the list is very long!

I just finished reading H.Y. Hanna’s first book in the Oxford Tea Room series — A Scone to Die For. I am now stocking up on book 2 through 6 plus Book 0 which is the prequel. I enjoyed the author’s writing style. I loved that I did not spot any typos (I have my kindle set to the largest font so typos jump off the screen at me). The characters were all interesting and you want to see what happens next. And Gemma Rose, the protagonist is human, not perfect, trying to make a new life for herself. I can relate.

Must say I enjoy reading about Cozy Mysteries! Had no idea the genre was so popular. You’ve done an excellent job keeping up with new releases, sorting and categorizing the themes, authors, locations… and book reviews…there are so many from which to choose! You’re doing a great job, give yourself a pat on the back!
Thanks for all your hard work!
